Interns will work directly with their Team Coordinators and other staff, and are responsible for increasing awareness of and commitment to the FACE mission. Interns will work among a broad range of audiences, most particularly opinion leaders, educators, policy makers, and the general membership. Internships are unpaid but maybe done for academic credit or on a volunteer basis. A candidate must be an undergraduate student; a graduate student; or have graduated from college within twelve months at the beginning of the internship. Interns are expected to work between 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday. Internships are offered during the summer, fall, and Winter/Spring semesters. Interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between the FACE and the intern's college or university. |

Knowledge of MS Office products, internet navigation and research; ability to organize administrative projects; demonstrate clear and effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to meet deadlines and maintain a flexible schedule; strong diplomatic skills in dealing with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds; awareness of and sensitivity to a variety of cultural perspectives; awareness of prominent global issues. |

| Primary Responsibilities: |

| Each Intern will be responsible for one or more of the following tasks depending on their abilities: |

Utilizing websites, along with other similar resources, as a tool for gaining an understanding of the grant writing process and identifying potential sources of funding

Managing, through the foundation database, current contacts and innovative funding sources in the India and internationally

Assisting in the creation of comprehensive program and fundraising strategies

Providing support writing letters of inquiry and grant proposals
-
Researching strategies and programs of foundation-funded peer organizations
-
Fostering relationships with businesses and organizations that offer their services and support, financial and otherwise

Creating, editing, and proofreading official documents and/or correspondences

Assisting in collaboration and design of marketing and fundraising tools
